MAUDE was transported to us at the Beginning of February from a distant dog shelter. MAUDE Had severe Glaucoma causing blindness and pain in her right eye. The Dog Shelter removed her right eye – spayed her and did a dental cleaning with removal of 2 teeth. MAUDE was transported to us the next day. UNFORTUNATELY the eye incision became infected and began to leak.. This nasty leakage just welded to the hair around her eye. Her eye hair had to be kept impeccably clean and then softly debrided. She looks so painful but is not – she is not a fan of her face being touched but now that the skin is drying out we are sure this will look much better and feel much better. MAUDE has a great appetite !! The incision is now healed – we just have to keep her skin dry and CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! Poor little Maude.. We feel so bad for her.. Can’t wait for all of this to heal over and grow her hair back.. AND she will.. It just takes time…

MAUDE is 14 Yrs old and weighs 9 Lbs.. Just a tiny Senior.. She is on mild pain meds until her skin heals completely.
