This man knew he had to go to a Nursing Facility and his only worry was his dog.. He ONLY wanted his dog to never miss him, be taken care of properly, be safe at all cost.. His alternative was Euthanizia of which his family agreed to.. BUT WAIT! His friend reached out to us and asked if WE could possibly take in this 9 yr. old Beagle named HARRY. After many e-mails & discussions we agreed to take HARRY… not knowing WHEN the owner would need to move into the facility.. YESTERDAY that day came.. We just HAD to allow HARRY to come to ISHAS.. The owner & his friend brought HARRY to us.. It was a long goodbye and the owner stated ” I can’t ever come back to visit HARRY…. It would not be fair to him” .. We understood and agreed it would be best for HARRY. The owner also asked “IF anything would happen to HARRY .. could I please have his Ashes ?” I told him absolutely.. We parted ways .. but it was a little sad.. So, ENTERS HARRY.. HARRY is a 9 year old Beagle who has been spoiled most of his life by his owner and since the owner lived alone.. THAT is all HARRY knows .. is him. HARRY entered somewhat confused .. but once out in the yard with other doggies he seemed to relax a bit.. Although, HARRY does look for his Daddy every chance he gets.. HARRY had a rough night last night and did not sleep much.. His entire world is upside down right now & we are doing all we can to keep his mind active and hopefully crave others attention.. HARRY will never be alone here….
HARRY weighs 47 Lbs and his “people food” days have ended.. He is eating well and is Potty Broke.. He is up to date with Vaccinations, he just received his monthly flea, tick & Parasite preventative.. HARRY is actively seeking a new home and in time will accept a new family.. or even one person to call his very own AGAIN.
