SHAMUS was being kept in his Mama’s home alone… His Mama passed away and he had nowhere to go.:( Since the heat was being turned off.. We spoke with the mama’s daughter who was TRYING to take care of him but worked too many hours a day.. We agreed to bring SHAMUS (we named him that) under the wing of ISHAS. He arrived yesterday —- we immediately called our Groomer Dianne to see what could be done .. He was severely matted EVERYWHERE… His nails were VERY LONG! We took care of that! He got a nice warm bath and after he snuggled into his bed we let him rest… He cannot walk well and his legs are very weak. THEN TODAY !!! He was waiting for us to arrive… His tail was wagging… He is walking MUCH better… but I want to talk about his tail… he hardly has a tail… it is probably 1/2 inch long – just a nub.! WHY?? who knows.. He is now on mild pain meds for his wobbly legs.. He walks very slowly – he is a senior at 13 Yrs. He weighs 14 Lbs.!!! He WILL need more grooming in the near future.. HE IS AN ABSOLUTE DOLL… he is beginning to show his personality. He will be going to the Vet soon… Then he will need to get updated on Vaccinations and Neutered.. AND LOSE SOME WEIGHT!
