PLEASE WELCOME “GIA MARIE” TO ISHAS THIS RAINY DAY.
GIA MARIE found herself in a Dog Pound in another county. She has a microchip, but the owners never came to get her. I received a phone call from the Shelter Technician .. Could ISHAS possibly take this senior Ol Gal in pretty rough shape.? Of course we agreed to help her.
GIA MARIE is missing a lot of hair, scaring? allergies? Breed? We do not know just yet. Her teeth are horrible. When we opened her mouth to take a look several of her teeth just fell out. Her breath is bad. BUT, she WILL be taken care of to the best of our ability. She was seen by the Pound Vet and is up to date on all Vaccinations, she is spayed and is just a quiet little old lady. She was given a nice warm medicated bath, her nails were trimmed ( they were very long) and she settled right into her comfy Bed and fell asleep. She is eating well and appears to be potty broke. GIA MARIE is 12+ years old and weighs 8 Lbs. We have her on our skin care regime. She arrived yesterday Wednesday March 13,2024.. We have not heard her bark.. in fact, we have not heard a peep from her. She is a little sweetheart in need of some skin & dental help even in her ripe old age she needs to feel comfortable and LOVED. We took care of the LOVED part.. everyone here loves her… The Dental and skin will need medical care from our Vet. We want to allow her to settle in here for a few days before her Vet appointment.
